These chairs were made as a pair and inspired by the art deco shapes and lines of automobiles of the 1930s. Constructed from over 50 layers of consecutive veneers that are glued together over a form under a large force the final shape looks like a solid piece but is dimensionally accurate and very strong. This strength allows us to forgo the support under the bottom and enables us to achieve a floating look that accentuates the leg and arm line.
